El uso de utillaje a medida tiene sentido cuando un producto ya existente no puede cumplir realmente con los requisitos de la aplicaci\u00f3n y el cliente tiene una necesidad espec\u00edfica que una pieza est\u00e1ndar no puede satisfacer \u2014un tama\u00f1o, patr\u00f3n de orificios, valor de par, material o forma de montaje no est\u00e1ndar que ning\u00fan modelo de cat\u00e1logo cubra\u2014. No tiene sentido cuando un modelo est\u00e1ndar funcionar\u00eda con peque\u00f1os ajustes, ya que la personalizaci\u00f3n a\u00f1ade tanto el coste del utillaje como el plazo de entrega que se evitan con una pieza en stock. Por lo tanto, la primera pregunta en cualquier conversaci\u00f3n sobre personalizaci\u00f3n deber\u00eda ser: \u00bfse ha descartado un producto est\u00e1ndar por una raz\u00f3n de peso? Cuanto m\u00e1s preciso sea el plano, menos sorpresas habr\u00e1 m\u00e1s adelante, ya que todo lo que viene despu\u00e9s (herramientas, muestras, producci\u00f3n) se basa en \u00e9l. Esta es tambi\u00e9n la fase m\u00e1s econ\u00f3mica para introducir cambios: modificar una cota en el papel no cuesta nada, mientras que el mismo cambio una vez fabricadas las herramientas resulta caro y lento. Este paso de confirmaci\u00f3n existe precisamente porque la fase siguiente es costosa y dif\u00edcil de revertir: una vez que un molde se ha mecanizado con unas dimensiones concretas, cambiar esas dimensiones implica volver a trabajar o volver a mecanizar el utillaje. Por lo tanto, la confirmaci\u00f3n es el momento de comprobar por \u00faltima vez todas las caracter\u00edsticas cr\u00edticas \u2014la interfaz de montaje, el material y el acabado, el rendimiento funcional y las tolerancias\u2014 en relaci\u00f3n con la aplicaci\u00f3n real. Considera la aprobaci\u00f3n como una revisi\u00f3n en toda regla, no como una mera formalidad; el coste de detectar un error en esta fase es una simple conversaci\u00f3n, mientras que el coste de detectarlo una vez fabricadas las herramientas es tiempo y dinero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"step-3-tooling\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_3_%E2%80%94_Tooling\"><\/span>Paso 3 \u2014 Herramientas<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una vez confirmado el plano, se fabrica el utillaje \u2014el molde o la matriz que dar\u00e1 forma a la pieza a medida\u2014. Este es el paso que m\u00e1s tiempo de entrega a\u00f1ade a un proyecto a medida: en nuestro caso, el utillaje tarda unos 20 d\u00edas, y es la raz\u00f3n principal por la que una bisagra a medida tarda m\u00e1s en fabricarse que una est\u00e1ndar que se saca directamente del almac\u00e9n. Dado que es la etapa m\u00e1s lenta y menos reversible, debe incluirse expl\u00edcitamente en el calendario del proyecto desde el primer d\u00eda, sin que se trate como una sorpresa. Val\u00eddala en la puerta, el panel o el marco reales: comprueba que encaja, que se mueve como debe, que se sujeta o se cierra seg\u00fan lo requerido, y que el material y el acabado son los correctos. La muestra es el punto de control que detecta cualquier detalle que se haya pasado por alto en el plano y en la confirmaci\u00f3n, antes de que se repita en toda la tirada de producci\u00f3n. En esta fase, ya deber\u00edan haberse acordado las condiciones: la cantidad respecto al pedido m\u00ednimo (MOQ), el plazo de producci\u00f3n, el acabado, el embalaje, los criterios de inspecci\u00f3n y la documentaci\u00f3n que requiere el programa, como los certificados de materiales y los informes de ensayo. La producci\u00f3n es tambi\u00e9n donde la uniformidad cobra importancia: cada unidad debe coincidir con la muestra aprobada, y para garantizarlo existen el sistema de calidad ISO 9001 y las pruebas internas.
